I provide a relaxed, open, collaborative and non-judgmental atmosphere. When working with patients, I will cater my approach to your needs, but my natural style is goal-oriented, so I tend to delve into the issues at hand so that you can see improvement in your emotional well-being as quickly as possible.

My job as a counselor is to help you to find the right tools and techniques to change your life, to find ways to address any issues that are causing you worry, shame, fear or anxiety, and to develop the ability to accept yourself, improve your situation, and gain a better quality of life.

Currently, I am only taking individual clients over 18.  However, if you are interested in group or couples therapy, please bookmark this page and check in again, as I plan to add these options in future. Alternatively, feel free to send me an email outlining your needs, and when these are available, I can contact you to confirm if you still need assistance.

Goal Oriented

When you already know what is causing you distress, and you are ready to address it and move past it, therapy helps facilitate your healing.  I also understand that there are times when you may not be sure where the issue lies, where to start, or what to do. Working with a therapist can assist you in determining your goals and understanding where your distress might be coming from.

Whether it’s workplace trauma or stress, anxiety, relationship issues or exploring your sexuality, one on one therapy sessions to address a specific concern is a helpful way to develop strategies to adjust your life, or to accept and embrace life changes.

Solution-Focused Therapy

When I work with patients, we focus on solutions. This approach involves collaborating on practical tools and answers to address your current distress.  Once immediate stressors have been calmed, we can work on a deeper level together in order to gain insight on underlying beliefs and experiences that may be contributing to your distress.

Consider this to be the same approach your doctor takes when dealing with a medical condition: first we treat the symptoms, then we work on addressing the cause.

The Therapeutic Relationship

As you browse this website, you will discover more about me, my approach to counseling, and how I can help you. The most important thing to remember is that while I am here to provide professional advice, and an objective perspective, your relationship with your therapist is the foundation for therapeutic change and healing.

While I have the skill and professional insight to help you to navigate your own path through therapy, I understand the value of having a good connection and relationship with a therapist.  One of the greatest indicators of success in therapy is the relationship you have with your therapist.

If you have any other questions about the services I offer, or anything on this or any other page on this site, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m always happy to answer questions about the counseling process.

Change Starts Today

If you are struggling to work through any personal, workplace or sexuality issue, or you are finding that life is becoming too much, don’t wait to seek help. The sooner you start working with a therapist you can trust, the sooner you can begin to feel relief and create lasting changes.
